Cutting Waste Through Modular Construction: CARCON’s Project Teams Thrive

Modular construction turns waste challenges into efficiency gains. As part of leading project teams, CARCON Industries advances offsite fabrication and precise planning across North Texas jobs.

DFW Terminal F: Project Team’s Massive Modules Cut Onsite Scrap

The Innovation Next+ team—including CARCON—advanced Terminal F’s record-setting modules built offsite with MEP systems and fixtures complete. These sections arrived ready to lift into place across the active airfield, eliminating onsite cutting, packaging, and debris that traditional methods generate.

DFW Terminal C High Gates: Team’s Prefab Concourse Minimizes Waste

On Terminal C’s gate rebuild, CARCON worked with the project team to use modular concourse sections fabricated in controlled shops, complete with framing and envelope systems. This approach reduced wood, metal, and packaging waste, enabling ahead-of-schedule completion while diverting material from landfills during full airport operations.

Texas A&M Dentistry Renovation: Team’s Lab Prefab Protects Clean Zones

During Level 2 research lab and Level 3 simulation clinic work, CARCON and the project team deployed prefabricated MEP racks and lab casework delivered fully assembled. This kept demolition debris minimal and avoided onsite fabrication mess in sterile zones while protecting the active campus environment.

Texas A&M Fort Worth: Team’s High-Rise Systems Streamline Vertical Build

For the eight-story Law & Education Building, the Turner-CARCON-Source tri-venture team utilized panelized floor systems and pre-cased concrete stairs from the ground up. These methods minimized concrete formwork and rebar trim scrap, accelerating erection on the dense urban site while maintaining a clean footprint for campus activities.

Tangible Results from Team Leadership

Through these modular strategies, CARCON’s project teams achieve shorter schedules, lower disposal costs, and cleaner sites. From DFW airfield modules to campus high-rises and labs, this approach turns waste challenges into efficiency wins—helping owners meet sustainability goals with proven execution.
